Situated at a height of 2050 metres Vijaypur rests on a ridge overlooking the magnificent Himalayan range. On a clear day the Vijaypur offers one of the most breathtaking views of the entire range from Chaukhamba, Neel Kanth, Hathi Parvat, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, to Panchchuli and Appi (Annapurna) peaks.

The picturesque valley around Vijaypur is dotted by tiny villages where no one is in a rush to get anywhere. Occasionally the peace of Vijaypur Chestnut Grove Himalayan Lodgeis disturbed by a pack of red-billed blue magpies quarreling amongst themselves. Here at Vijaypur, nature is at its unadulterated best.

Outside every cottage is an enclosure for guests to sit out in deck chairs and relax. You also have the option of stretching out in one of the hammocks slung across the pine trees.
